One Dish Chicken Supper

From the kitchen of Patty Hykes

One-dish meals have been a cornerstone of American practical cooking since at least the 19th century — a single pot or pan that handles everything, leaving little to wash and nothing to coordinate. Stuffing and chicken in a slow cooker is a particularly Midwestern expression of this instinct, combining the flavors of a Sunday roast with the ease of an unattended afternoon.
