The overnight breakfast casserole is a quintessential American church potluck and holiday morning dish — assembled the evening before, requiring nothing but an oven the next day. In communities across NE Ohio where women's groups, church brunches, and large family Christmases were constants, this kind of make-ahead dish was invaluable. Terri Board's version became a family tradition.
Ingredients
1 lb. sausage
6–8 slices bread
2 c shredded cheese
